Mrs. Roya: Kindergarten

Hello families! Thank you for visiting my teacher page. I am excited to be starting my 22nd year teaching Kindergarten here at MPS! I am a graduate of Carson Newman University (Go Eagles!), where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I also hold a Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University and just completed my Ed.S in Instructional Leadership from LMU. I am married to my wonderful husband and we have 2 children. They definitely keep me busy! I love reading, being outdoors, crafting, cooking, and all things Disney. Kindergarten Supplies:

Backpack (standard size, no wheels)

1- pkg. #2 pencils (Ticonderoga/USA Gold brands are preferred) 

1- crayon/pencil box (standard size - no oversize boxes)

1- pair Fiskar scissors

5- packs of glue sticks (10-12 sticks minimum - We’ll take as many as you would like to give! We use them a lot!)

6- 24 count packs of crayons

1- package PENCIL SIZE dry erase markers (EXPO brand please, other 

brands do not erase well)

1- pencil pouch with 3 holes, clear front, and a zipper 

2- plastic 3 prong, 2 pocket folder

1– 1 inch 3 ring binder with pockets and clear pocket on front

2- 70 sheet spiral notebooks

2- STANDARD SIZE (.3OZ) containers of Play-Doh (Play-Doh brand only please.  Other brands do not last as long.)

1- pair of headphones (straight jack, over the head **NO EARBUDS**)

1- pack of pink pearl erasers

Kleenex tissues

Ziploc bags (gallon and quart)

wet wipes

Clorox Wipes

Assorted Band-aids.
