About Ms. Jessie

Hello! My name is Jessie Vernon and I teach Blended Pre-K here at MPS!

 

This is my 10th year teaching and my 9th in Monroe County. I received my Education K-6 and English degrees from Tennessee Wesleyan then started my career teaching English for 8 years. I fell in love with teaching students with various needs and neurodiversity during those years. I then got my Masters in Special Education and transitioned to teaching Special Education. 

 

I am married to Derrick and I'm the mother of two wonderful children (Skielar and Emerald). My hobbies include thrift shopping, traveling, camping, reading, and drinking copious amounts of iced coffee. 

 

I am so excited to be a Tornado this year!
