About Ms. Sunshine

Welcome to Blended Pre-K!

    I am Ms. Destiny Moore- however, during the past school year, my scholars began calling me Ms. Sunshine!

Our Class:

       We teach a variety of learners in Blended, some with disabilities and some typical peers. Our students schedules vary- some attending half days, some full, and every one on a different numbers of days. 

My Education:

     I went to Tennessee Wesleyan University and completed my degree in Special Education. I also have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Design from WGU. I began teaching in August of 2020 and started in Blended Pre-K in 2024.

About Me:

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have 4 wonderful little boys. One of our sons has Autism and one of them has apraxia of speech which requires an AAC device. My personal experience as a mom of children with IEPs and different abilities helps me understand both sides of the conversation and makes me really passionate about early intervention and access to education.

Any other questions or anyone not on my dojo, email is the best or calling the school and asking to speak to me. I have planning 1:45- 2:25 so that is the best time to contact me/when you will likely be getting a response as I am very busy throughout the day.  I am so excited to be your teacher and look forward to a great year!
